Sonner Email Dialogs:
A New Accountability Every Representative Should Practice...

I am very big on accountability. As a former Air Force Air Traffic Controller, I know the value of realtime communication, both between ground personnel and with the pilots we serve. This page will be updated whenever I see emails that warrant being answered for everyone - not only during my campaign, but during my time in office as well. Together we shall use our technology to leverage better, more responsive representation for the people.

And so we begin a new age of representatives actually talking to the people we represent...

Oh, and don't forget my Facebook and Twitter accounts either...!

VOTER:

Unfortunately, you're not in my district but I wish you the best of luck with your run. With the boom in recent technology (facebook sent me to you, fyi) it's more possible then ever for a real person to be elected to high public office. I'll still probably donate to you since I sincerely support what you're doing and I plan to do the same thing myself in the next few years. The political establishment needs to understand that the Constitution isn't just a set of guidelines... it's a contract between the federal government and the states and citizens that clearly states the responsibilities and limitations of federal authority. Keep fighting the good fight and god bless.

P.S. I'm not really a Christian myself so I really respect your understanding that moral issues are not the jurisdiction of the government but of the communities themselves.

I was reading your campaign page this morning and while scrolling down the comments about taxation I came across the quote from the Declaration of Independence. I immediately recognized it without seeing the source citation as I am very well acquainted with that document. Im fortunate in that I get to read it publicly every year in Exeter at the American Independence Museum. The vast majority of people have no idea what it says or means. Being in the 1st district I won't be able to vote for you but I will recommend you to all of my friends in the 2nd district. Keep up the good work!

WES:

Bob,

My daughter lives in California with my ex-wife. In her elementary school they eliminated Thanksgiving Day and replaced it with "International Day." If that doesn't make you spit coffee onto your computer and fall out of your chair... Our children are being taught watered down patriotism and revisionist history that does not include reverence and respect for our founding fathers and their documents. It's up to us as parents to make sure that future generations continue to know and live by the foundational principles of our country. It's up to us as patriots to get ourselves elected into positions where we can push out the usurpers and put the people back into the driver's seat. Bob, I can't thank you enough for your kind encouragement. There are so many times when I find myself outside of my comfort zone personally and to hear that my message is on target strengthens my resolve. Thank you! Please do help me spread the word!

As an avid hunter I firmly support the 2nd Amendment, and appreciate your efforts in the defense of this valuable amendment. So I would like to thank you and wish you luck in the election.

WES:

Carter,

I only wish more of our citizens, even those who do not personally own or wish to own guns, would understand the profound importance of our 2nd Amendment. If this right can be taken, so can any and every right be taken. This was the view of the Founding Fathers and you are a patriot in the best of company for believing similarly.

CIRCUMSTANCE: Having received a New Hampshire Candidate Questionnaire regarding the issue of Medical Marijuana, from Matt Simon, Executive Director, NH Coalition for Common Sense Marijuana Policy, (NHCommonSense.org) Wes returns the questionaire with the following...

Matt,

I am emailing you my answers to your questionnaire. I STRONGLY support of the use of marijuana for prescribed medical purposes. I am STRONGLY OPPOSED to the Federal government’s interference in how states handle this and many other issues. The Federal government should not have powers that are not specifically enumerated in the U.S. Constitution…medical marijuana does NOT fall under those enumerated powers. Clear enough? J

Thank you allowing me to participate and feel free to contact me by phone or email should you have any further questions. I personally answer my phone and return calls.

WES: This issue makes me SO mad, ahahah. My mom died of pancreatic cancer and my dad died of Leukemia. It makes NO sense that we let them inject DRAINO into their bodies and call it “therapy” but they can’t smoke a joint to relieve their pain…oy. When people are in pain you do WHATEVER you need to do to help them. Just my 2 cents.

Wes

VOTER: Thanks for the two cents. Some GOP candidates talk a good game when it comes to liberty and the constitution, but when it comes to allowing medical marijuana for seriously ill patients, they can't budge an inch... so I certainly appreciate your strong support. I'll let you know how your primary opponents respond to the survey, if in fact they do...

WES:

Joe,

Q: Your view of the Constitution, as a “living document” or do you favor strict interpretation?

A: Very strict. One of the most dangerous prospects facing our nation is a Supreme Court loaded with activist judges who see to legislate from the bench and re-interpret the United States Constitution. VERY dangerous.

Q: Do you believe it’s important to safeguard private property, if so, why?

A: This question makes me worry that I’m missing an issue that I need to be aware of because my first reaction is, of course it’s important and who says it isn’t? I'm sorry for my ignorance here but I guess it’s better to admit it than to fake an answer.

Q: What is your stance on the Fifth Amendment & Eminent Domain?

A: I have seen Eminent Domain be used in terrible ways. For example, city councils forcing the sale of private property under Eminent Domain and then selling to a private developer. I guess in real life there may be reasonable applications of Eminent Domain (building a freeway maybe) but in light of the fact that we are recently careening toward socialist/Marxist government control I think this is an important issue to track closely and fight diligently.

Q: Are you pro life or pro choice?

A: Pro life.

Q: What is your position on a guest worker program?

A: My position is that we have to FIRST stop the damage being done by the thousands of illegal immigrants crossing our borders every single day. Only then will we be in a position to talk about the rest of the immigration issue. However, I am AGAINST any and all programs that would allow “guests” to come into our country and fill jobs that Americans can and will do. I cannot fathom that we’d consider bringing MORE workers into the country when we currently have 10% unemployment with no end in sight. Protect American lives, livelihood and sovereignty FIRST.

Q: Do you support English only / official language?

A: Yes, my goodness…YES. I should NEVER have to press “1” for English.

Q: What is your position on illegal drugs / marijuana legalization?

I cannot support the legalization of illicit drugs. The only exception to that being that, for legitimate, prescribed and tightly controlled medicinal uses.

Q: Are you for or against Cap & Trade?

A: Absolutely against.

Q: What is your position on acquiring (drilling, mining) & or use of:

Oil: A: Drill now. These ridiculous restrictions on oil drilling are largely responsible for the oil disaster that has befallen the Gulf. If we had been allowed to drill in places where the depth was not 5,000 feet we’d have been able to fix this problem right away.

Coal: A: It’s cheap, relatively clean and plentiful. And it provides jobs.

Natural gas: A: Find more and drill.

Nuclear energy: A: If the French can do, why can’t we? It has proven to be safe and efficient over the long term.

Q: How would you improve or change our system of education?

A: End No Child Left Behind, 50% dropout rates in our nation’s large cities proves that it has failed, and return control of schools to parents and local authority. Stop teaching social agendas to our kids and start teaching them reading, writing, arithmetic, technology and P.E. In other words…go back to basics and stop teaching my kids things that are MY job to teach them…like lifestyle.

Q: Do you have any business experience?

A: About two years ago I invented a product for the home aquarium industry. I designed, developed and marketed the product through my own small company and built it up into a successful venture. (www.reefgently.com) This last March I sold the company and still hold a large percentage of future profits. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Rivier College in Nashua, NH. I have been a practicing software engineer since 1997 and continued to work my day job while building my own company.
