Wes Sonner is an Air Force veteran, entrepreneur, husband and father who lives in Mont Vernon, NH with his beautiful wife Hilary and three children, Emily, Bryan and Sarah.

He works as a principal software engineer for a company specializing in cable and satellite television. The Sonners are active members of Amherst First Baptist Church where both Hilary and Wesley serve in leadership roles.

Wes was born in 1966 in Montgomery, AL where his parents were stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base. He spent most of his early years in San Jose, CA along with his younger brother John. When he was six years old his parents divorced, and Wesley's mom moved with both boys to Woodlyn, PA.

Wes later returned to California where he graduated from James Lick High school (Alma Mater of Jim Plunkett) and began college at San Jose State University to study Aeronautical Engineering. While in school, Wesley joined Delta Upsilon fraternity and served as a local team member with Campus Crusade for Christ.

After a number of years struggling with his studies and the costs of college, Wesley joined the Air Force. He served his country proudly through Operation Desert Storm (stationed stateside in California) as an Air Traffic Controller and after four years at Castle AFB he was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.

In the 1990's Wesley taught himself to program computers and has been working as a software engineer ever since. He continues to celebrate his recent graduation, with a B.S. in Business Administration from Rivier College in Nashua.

Wesley moved to New Hampshire in 1999 and fell in love with the state. His father taught him to hunt and fly fish at a young age and his love of the outdoors makes New Hampshire the perfect home.

Wesley Sonner is running for Congress to bring common sense and a clear vision of what needs to be done in Washington so that it once again serves the People.

"Our government is broken and it will take massive effort on the part of everyday citizens to fix," he says. "But we CAN fix it. We must - and I always say that if you 'must', you can."
